UEFA “B” Licence Coach

Ken`s Coaching career started at the legendary Wallsend Boys Club where he coached Under 10s to Under 14s. Some notable players came under Ken`s tutelage
including Michael Carrick and Mark Maley.

After 10 years Ken moved into senior coaching firstly with Newcastle Blue Star and then the Northumberland County Under 19 Team.

In 1999 Ken was recruited by Newcastle United to become one of their Academy coaches, where he stayed for 7 years, working with the Under 12s, 14s and 16s. In 2006 he joined Team Northumbria where he still coaches the University team and the Northern League Team.

Ken started taking his coaching Qualifications in 1989 he now holds the UEFA “B” Licence and the F.A. Youth coaches Award. In recent years he has qualified as a
Coach Educator, passing on his wide range off experience and knowledge to young coaches by delivering Level 1 Courses for the Northumberland F.A.

Ken has a real eye for detail and has contributed some excellent sessions to the website.
