UEFA “A” Licence Coach


Liam`s football career started as an apprentice footballer at Rotherham United. He them went to Northumbria University where he studied Sports Science graduating in 2007 with a BSc (Hons).

.Whilst at University he played a key role in the development of the University Football Programme not only playing for Team Northumbria in the Northern league but also coaching the Team Northumbria Womens team. It was a while at College he started taking his coaching qualifications. In 2009 he successfully completed his UEFA “A” Licence at Lilleshall. 

On leaving College he was appointed the Head Coach at The Northumberland Football Partnership and in 2007 took up the role of Football Development Officer. In 2010 Liam was appointed as a Full Time Youth Coach at Newcastle United working with the Under 15s and 16s. His playing career includes Northern League teams  Consett, Bishop Auckland, and Brandon. Liam  delivers Level 1 and Level 2 Coach Education Courses for Northumberland F.A.  In 2011 he was invited on to the F. A.s Elite Coaches Course.
